In 2020, after the COVID-19 pandemic struck our nation, state, and communities, community banks like yours played a pivotal role in helping your business partners survive and thrive.
For nearly a year, community banks have been standing strong with your small business clients and ensuring they received the federal relief they qualified for through the Small Business Administration’s Paycheck Protect Program. Nationally, the PPP supported or saved 51 million jobs. In Wisconsin, community banks helped facilitate nearly 90,000 PPP loans totaling almost $10 billion, with an average PPP loan in Wisconsin totaling $110,000 to a company with an average size of 11 employees.
We need your help!
Across the country, we are seeing news stories featuring the relationship between a community bank and a small business and how, together, they kept that business alive during tough times. At the Wisconsin Bankers Association, we want to ensure your communities know about the great work you have done for the past year and continue to do as you implement the next round of PPP loans.
Please fill out the form below if you would be interested in helping to share and amplify the good that PPP did in your community.
