WBA’s popular Personal Banker School will be offered at two convenient locations this spring:
- April 29-30 – Peoples State Bank, Wausau
- May 20-21 – Wisconsin Bankers Association, Madison

This program is designed to equip personal bankers with the essential tools, techniques, and industry knowledge needed to confidently sell, cross-sell, refer, and service a wide range of financial products. Participants will return to their institutions with sharper product expertise and enhanced customer service skills.
School Topics Include:
- Compliance Essentials – A review of the regulations and laws every personal banker should understand.
- Account Titling – Learn how to handle various account types, including joint accounts, trusts, accounts for minors, POAs, PODs, and business accounts.
- Banking Fundamentals – Gain a stronger grasp of how banking works and the vital role retail bankers play in a bank’s overall financial success.
- Relationship Building – Discover how to assess customer needs, identify opportunities, and foster lasting customer relationships.
- Sales and Referral Strategies – Practical steps for making successful sales, cross-sells, and referrals.
- Achieving High Performance – Develop the mindset and skills necessary to meet and exceed performance goals.
- Interactive Group Work – Apply your knowledge through in-class activities and a group case study.
Who Should Attend? This school is ideal for Personal Bankers, New Accounts Representatives, Universal Bankers, and other retail staff responsible for managing account relationships. Both newcomers and experienced professionals will benefit from the course content.
Participation Requirements: All attendees are expected to attend and engage in every session, complete any pre-school assignments, and actively contribute to discussions and group activities.
Registration Details: The registration fee of $550 includes program materials, instruction, lunches, and refreshments throughout both days.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received in writing at least five (5) business days prior to the program’s start date will receive a refund minus a $150 administrative fee. Substitutions are welcome and must also be submitted in writing to WBA Education.
