Executive Letter: Updated Reporting Form Streamlines WBF Financial Education Awards

From the Desk of Rose Oswald Poels

By Rose Oswald Poels, WBA president and CEO

The Wisconsin Bankers Foundation (WBF) is pleased to introduce an updated reporting form for the 2025–2026 Excellence in Financial Education Awards program. This redesigned workbook reflects our continued commitment to supporting and recognizing the outstanding financial education efforts taking place in communities across our state.

The new format streamlines the submission process by combining reporting for both the Individual Awards and Bank Awards into a single, user-friendly document. Our goal is to make participation more efficient while also enabling WBF to better capture and showcase the meaningful impact Wisconsin banks are making through financial education.

We want to ideally honor every member with an Excellence in Financial Education award, so I hope the streamlined reporting form encourages your team to apply for both individual or bank-level recognition! To submit reports, please download the updated form and carefully review the instructions available on the WBA website. The reporting period includes activities conducted between June 1, 2025, and May 31, 2026, with completed submissions due by July 31, 2026.

Please note that the Financial Education Innovation Award will continue to require a separate application form. Financial education remains a cornerstone of our industry’s commitment to strengthening individuals, families, and communities. Your extensive efforts in this space make a lasting difference, and we look forward to recognizing your work through this program.

To access the reporting workbook, review award criteria, and find submission instructions, please visit the WBA website. If you have any questions, please contact Elizabeth Fenton, WBA communications coordinator, at efenton@wisbank.com.

Thank you for your continued leadership and dedication to financial education across Wisconsin.
