One Community Bank is thrilled to share the news of Dan Carey’s recent promotion to the position of chief commercial officer. Carey earned his B.S. degree in Finance and Business Management from Edgewood College and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member Candidate.
Carey is passionate about being involved in the community and making a difference. Named 2020 InBusiness 40 Under 40. He is a member of NAIOP Wisconsin, Smart Growth Greater Madison, and 100 Men of Dane County. He is a board member and past president of Wisconsin Harness Horse Association. He also is a past board member of the McFarland Chamber of Commerce.
“Dan has been in the banking industry for 15 years. He started at OCB as an AVP – commercial lending officer and has continued to grow with the organization. In his new role, Dan will lead the commercial lending department and execute strategies to drive business growth, manage client relationships, and ensure the banks’ products and services meet market demands. We are excited about this organization structure evolution, and we know Dan is ready to roll and deliver for our team,” said Steve Peotter, president and CEO.

I have enjoyed growing the commercial banking department, managing a team of commercial lenders, being a member of the bank’s senior leadership, and making OCB ONE of the top PACE lenders in Wisconsin. I love being able to assist in OCB’s expansion efforts in Middleton and Cottage Grove as well,” said Carey.
In his personal time, Carey enjoys spending time with his wife and children, coaching youth basketball, and racing horses.
One Community Bank is also excited to announce the promotion of Dan Mattes to AVP – commercial banking officer of its Cottage Grove location.
“Dan has been a tremendous asset to the commercial team. He has worked closely with our clients and developed new business relationships. In his new role, he will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of business clients, helping them achieve their goals through effective communication and strategic planning,” said Tom Long, SVP – commercial banking manager.
“I am thrilled to grow with One Community Bank and develop business relationships in Cottage Grove. I cannot wait for OCB – Cottage Grove to open soon,” said Mattes. Mattes has over 15 years of experience in the banking industry with 10 years of experience in residential mortgage lending. He is passionate about giving back to his community. He is an active member of both the Sun Prairie and Cottage Grove Chambers of Commerce.
Outside of work, Mattes loves spending time with his wife and three sons. When he has free time, he enjoys golfing and running.
