Bank Five Nine Sponsors Riverworks Development Corporation’s Beerline Celebration Series

Bank Five Nine is proud to sponsor Riverworks Development Corporation’s Beerline Celebration Series with a $1,000 donation.

Riverworks Development Corporation was created to help with the redevelopment of the east Capitol Drive corridor. For years, the area had been home to many major businesses. When those businesses disinvested or relocated, the area began to deteriorate. Riverworks was created to restore economic vitality to the business and residential community. Riverworks is celebrating 32 years of serving residents, local and national businesses and working to keep and attract new businesses to the area thereby ensuring that this area is economically healthy. However, an economically healthy area is an area where the residents are also economically healthy. To that end, Riverworks created the Financial Clinic to help the area’s residents become financially stable through one-on-one coaching which includes benefit screening, financial education, and workforce development.

“We appreciate the continued partnership with Bank Five Nine and their generous donation to support the 2024 Beerline Trail Celebration Series which highlights several local artists and makers in four signature events this summer. Their support is critical to the ongoing programming of various events happening in the Harambee and Riverwest Neighborhoods,” Darryl Johnson, Executive Director of the Riverworks Development Corporation said.

The Beerline Celebration Series, Music on the Beerline, will take place on Friday, July 19, August 16, and September 20, on the Beerline Plaza Performance Stage at 3350 N. Holton Street. This music series is free and open to the public and will highlight local performers, creatives, and vendors, transforming the Beerline Plaza into a hub for opportunities and innovation. In addition to the music series, the RDC will also be holding the fourth annual Beerline Shuffle on Saturday, October 5. This one-of-a-kind 3-mile walking tour will showcase several local artists and their community projects, snack and music stops, and a plethora of goodies and resources for paid registrants.

“Bank Five Nine is pleased to sponsor an event and organization that supports a wonderfully growing community that is focused on economic health and education,” said Alissa Weber, Senior Marketing Representative.
