One Community Bank Donates $20,000 to Education Foundation to Support Weekend Food Program in Middleton-Cross Plains Schools

One Community Bank announces a $20,000 donation to the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District (MCPASD) Education Foundation’s Weekend Food Program, which supports students and families in the district. The Weekend Food Program sends children home on Fridays with nutritious, easy-to-prepare food. Families sign up through their school, and volunteers from local churches plan the menus and pack every bag.

“At One Community Bank, we believe in three things: serving clients, supporting colleagues, and investing in our communities,” said Steve Peotter, president and CEO of One Community Bank. “By ensuring children have healthy meals, we are helping students succeed and strengthening our community.”

“This gift means a child can head into the weekend without worrying about their next meal, and come back on Monday ready to learn,” said Dr. Dana Monogue, superintendent of the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District. “We’re grateful to One Community Bank, to our church volunteers, and to every family and donor who makes this program possible.”

The MCPASD Education Foundation is proud to work together with local churches to ensure all of our students have what they need to succeed. Executive Director Annemarie Engdahl shared her appreciation for the community support. “This is what community looks like: caring individuals working to ensure students have nutritious food at home every weekend. What an incredible gift.”
