PremierBank Welcomes Jefferson County Native Kyler Kabat as First Vice President, Director of Retail and Mortgage Lending

Kyler Kabat

PremierBank has announced that Kyler Kabat has joined the bank as First Vice President, Director of Retail and Mortgage Lending.

In this leadership role, Kabat will oversee PremierBank’s retail and mortgage lending team, leading strategic growth initiatives and supporting the bank’s commitment to serving communities throughout Jefferson, Rock, and Walworth counties.

Kabat brings more than 15 years of real estate and financial services experience to PremierBank. After beginning his career in the real estate industry, he transitioned into banking, where he developed extensive expertise in lending, relationship management, and market leadership. Most recently, he served as Market President for a financial institution in Jefferson County, overseeing market growth, customer retention, profitability, and collaboration between lending and retail banking teams.

“Kyler’s extensive banking experience, leadership abilities, and commitment to community involvement make him an excellent addition to our team,” said Matt Zastrow, Senior Vice President and Chief Lending Officer at PremierBank. “His energy, expertise in retail banking and mortgage lending, and strong community focus will be a tremendous asset as we continue to grow and serve our customers.”

Kabat is a lifelong learner who has completed the Wisconsin Bankers Association’s Residential Mortgage Lending and Commercial Lending programs. He recently completed the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, earning a Certificate of Executive Leadership as a member of the Class of 2025. He also holds a Wisconsin Real Estate Broker’s License.

“Leadership in community banking is about more than business. It’s about trust and making an impact where it matters most.  I’m energized by the chance to lead a team that is focused on customer relationships and is a leading provider of financial services in the market areas we serve,” said Kabat.

Actively involved in the community, Kabat currently serves as Treasurer and Director for the Lake Mills Chamber/Main Street organization and has previously served on the Waterloo Master Plan Committee and as an Affiliate Director for the Jefferson County Board of Realtors.

Kabat currently resides with his wife and two children in Lake Mills where they enjoy family time, sports, outdoor activities, and following the Badgers!
