Town Bank Appoints Timothy P. Hanley to Board of Directors
Town Bank, N.A., a Wintrust Community Bank, recently announced the appointment of Timothy P. Hanley to its Board of Directors. Hanley joined the Town Bank board after his recent retirement as dean of the College of Business Administration at Marquette University. As dean, he led the effort to develop and build the Dr. E. J. and Margaret O’Brien Hall, a state-of-the-art learning environment for undergraduate and graduate business degree programs that opened in 2023.
“We are delighted to have Tim join our Town Bank board,” said Jay Mack, CEO of Town Bank. “Tim is a pillar in the Milwaukee area. He has an admirable perspective on leadership, business, and philanthropy and, importantly for us, has strong ties in the communities we serve that will strengthen our position as Wisconsin’s Bank®.”
Hanley brings significant financial and business experience to the board. He recently led Deloitte’s Global Consumer and Industrial Products industry practice and helped grow the practice to over $14 billion in revenue during his tenure.
“I am extremely honored to join the Town Bank board of directors,” said Hanley. “Wintrust and Town Bank played an important role in the construction of O’Brien Hall. We named the atrium of the building Wintrust Gallery to honor Wintrust’s role. I came to know the leadership of Town Bank well during my tenure as dean and look forward to working with them and my fellow board members in this new role.”
Hanley began his career at Arthur Andersen in 1978 and served as an audit partner on many of the largest manufacturers in Wisconsin. Over his 17 years at Deloitte, Hanley held many leadership roles in client services and industry leadership. Hanley is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Marquette University graduate.
