One Community Bank Sponsors the Corn Fest Block Party

The Sun Prairie Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that One Community Bank will be the sponsor for the Sweet Corn Festival Block Party occurring immediately after the parade on August 14, 2024. The 71st Annual Sun Prairie Sweet Corn Festival kicks off with a Parade and Block Party down Historic Main Street. The Block Party presented by One Community Bank will be highlighted by a performance from cover band, The Dirty Birds. The Dirty Birds are Sun Prairie, WI natives that all have a strong passion for music. The cover band plays in Madison and the surrounding areas. See them at local bars and festivals playing anywhere from rock and country, 60’s classics to today’s hits.

“Corn Fest is not possible without the support of our business community,” stated Christina Williams, the Chamber’s Executive Director. “Sponsorships make the event possible to cover expenses such as facility rental, building repairs, hiring great bands and so much more. One Community Bank’s sponsorship of the Corn Fest Block Party plays a crucial role in bringing our community together, enhancing the festival experience, and supporting local culture and tradition.”

One Community Bank is one of the largest community banks in Wisconsin. They are dedicated to serving clients, supporting colleagues, and investing in communities. The Sun Prairie community is one of 15 communities that OCB is a part of. They recently joined the Cottage Grove community and opened a brand-new location in March 2024.

“One Community Bank is honored to be a sponsor of Sun Prairie Corn Fest 2024,” said Kelsey Hudson, VP – Commercial Banking Officer. “This festival embodies our dedication to our clients, colleagues, and communities. Supporting Corn Fest allows us to contribute to a wonderful event that brings people together and makes a meaningful impact in our Sun Prairie community.”

After Corn Fest concludes and all the expenses are settled, the festival proceeds are shared among several civic organizations. Last year, five organizations, whose members volunteered thousands of hours, shared the $60,000 profit. These funds are then reinvested into various programs and services that benefit youth, veterans, the elderly, and the community as a whole.
