Peoples Receives Recognition for Best Human Resources Team 2024
Peoples State Bank is proud to announce special recognition as a 2024 Best Human Resources Team from Employee Benefit News (EBN), in partnership with Best Companies Group. The team earning this award includes Tina Seidl, vice president and human resources director; Jen Cassell, senior human resources generalist; Dawn Darling, learning and development officer; and Scott Staszak, talent acquisition manager.
Employee Benefit News is honoring only 39 companies nationwide with its inaugural Best HR Teams list. The honorees were selected with the help of Best Companies Group based on each company’s policies and benefits and an employee satisfaction survey. The Peoples HR team was chosen as winners for their outstanding advice and the challenges they’ve been able to overcome this past year.
“In HR, the ‘human’ element comes with rewards and challenges. One challenge we’ve embraced is recruitment in the metro market of Milwaukee. Peoples has branches throughout Wisconsin and entered the Milwaukee market around eight years ago. This year, we opened a brand new location downtown,” said Staszak, talent acquisition manager. “We have found a challenge surrounding recruitment in finding qualified candidates in a tight labor market.”
“Our HR team continues to overcome this challenge by implementing the Ideal Team Player values – humble, hungry, and smart – in all communications, making connections with the local Milwaukee SHRM group, and partnering on job postings with local groups such as the WI LGBT Chamber of Commerce and La Casa de Esperanza. As a community bank, it’s important to get to know our communities. It helps us in the business we do to recruit staff and foster careers.”
“Our team is humbled and honored by this recognition,” said Seidl, vice president and human resources director. “We are grateful to represent Peoples State Bank and will continue to embrace challenges, see the potential, and support and grow our workforce culture.”
