Unity Bank–Neillsville Celebrates Its Roots Tracing Back 145 Years
Unity Bank, a local community bank with 15 locations across Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Montana is excited to celebrate that the roots of its Neillsville, Wisconsin branch trace back 145 years this August.
The origins of their Neillsville branch trace back to 1879 when Daniel Gates and J. L. Gates established a private bank called the Neillsville Bank. The establishment of the Neillsville Bank predated the incorporation of the city of Neillsville which occurred in April of 1882. The Neillsville Bank, and its predecessors, built Neillsville supporting the many industries such as logging and agriculture which remain as vital industries in the area today.
To commemorate the past 145 years of banking in Neillsville, Unity Bank will be hosting a celebration lunch August 22nd at its Unity Bank Neillsville branch. Join them for a fun community connection, enjoy lunch, and get to know the friendly team.
Michelle Friemoth, Manager of the Neillsville Branch, stated, “We’re thrilled to be able to celebrate our banking roots with our community. We are proud to be a pillar of our community for the last 145 years.”
