First Business Bank Promotes Bowar and Groth
First Business Bank is pleased to announce Nolan Bowar’s promotion to senior client relationship specialist – company retirement plans.
Bowar joined First Business Bank in 2016 as a trust associate. In 2020, he moved to the Company Retirement Plans team as a client relationship specialist, and he was promoted in 2023 to senior client relationship specialist. Bowar handles the day-to-day needs for Company Retirement Plans and is also responsible for ensuring plans are compliant with IRS and DOL regulations. He enjoys working with plan sponsors to complete year-end testing, calculate employer contributions, and fulfill required minimum distributions amongst other duties.
Prior to joining First Business Bank, Bowar earned his bachelor’s degree in personal finance from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He has worked in the financial services sector since 2014, and he currently holds the QKA (Qualified 401(k) Administrator) designation.
Additionally, First Business Bank is proud to announce Mike Groth’s promotion to vice president – SBA lending.
Mike Groth started at First Business Bank in 2018 as portfolio manager, managing a portfolio of SBA lending clients. In 2024, he was promoted to vice president – SBA lending, taking on additional responsibilities for helping businesses secure SBA loans to achieve their goals. Groth has more than 15 years of experience in financial services in various capacities, such as relationship management, credit analysis, inventory appraisal, and commercial real estate.
