First State Bank Announces New Senior Vice President, Business Banking
First State Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Jason Wood as Senior Vice President, Business Banking. With over two decades of experience in the banking and financial services industry, Wood brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role.
Wood most recently was Business Banking Area Manager for Chase Bank in Ohio, where he oversaw a team of bankers across several states. Previously, he worked at First Business Bank in Appleton from 2017-2018 and Chase Bank in various markets in Madison, Northwest Chicago and Northeast Wisconsin from 2005-2017.
“Jason’s extensive experience in developing business solutions and fostering client relationships will continue to help us enhance customer experiences and grow in the ways we can help local businesses succeed,” said Jason Wery, EVP, Chief Banking Officer at First State Bank.
Wood is excited to join First State Bank and return home to Northeast Wisconsin with his family. “First State Bank’s community banking philosophy aligns with my own,” said Wood. “I am excited to join a team of bankers who are truly committed to their customers and communities.”
In his free time, Wood has been active in coaching travel sports for the past 15 years. Formerly, his volunteering in the area included treasurer for USA Youth Sports Complex, finance committee member for Girl Scouts of Northeast Wisconsin, founding board member of Wisconsin United FC, and board member for Makaroff Youth Ballet. He is also an avid Chicago sports fan.
