Peoples Announces Erin McCormick as Commercial Lender in Eagle River
Peoples State Bank announces Erin McCormick as commercial lender in Eagle River. He succeeds Denise Jantzen, who announced earlier this year that she would retire from the bank this summer.
“I’ve learned through my many experiences in banking that customers don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care,” said McCormick. “Peoples is different than most banks. The customer is centric in all that we do. Taking time to listen and really understand our customer’s needs. I strive to add value to the customer relationship and am honored to serve our business customers in the Eagle River area.”
McCormick has extensive banking experience, including small business, mortgage, and retail banking with both community and regional banks. Most recently, he served as the retail team leader for Peoples State Bank in the northern Wisconsin market. His diverse skill set will translate well into his new role as a commercial lender; providing commercial loan and deposit solutions for the customers he serves.
“Erin’s strengths are in establishing and growing relationships with customers,” said Craig Lau, Peoples State Bank northern market president. “His experience and passion for helping his customers accomplish their goals is a natural fit with Peoples’ commercial initiatives.”
“Peoples is excellent at providing for the needs of their customers, their colleagues, and their community. It’s challenging for a bank to be great at all three,” said McCormick. “I’m proud to be a part of the Peoples team and will continue to provide the best banking solutions to our customers.”
McCormick graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2023. He and his family are immersed into the local community. They live outside of Rhinelander and spend summers in Three Lakes. They attend church in St. Germain, and both his children work for small businesses in Eagle River and Three Lakes.
