Bank Five Nine Honors Outstanding Achievements with Annual President’s Awards
On Monday, February 19, Bank Five Nine proudly announced the recipients of its President’s Awards during their annual All Employee Meeting. These awards, presented by Bank President and CEO Tim Schneider, celebrate the exceptional accomplishments and exemplary work of Bank Five Nine employees.
Employees submit nominations during the month of January, which are then carefully reviewed by Tim Schneider for final selections. This year, the awards were once again presented in five distinct categories: Mark W. Mohr Mentorship Award, Leader in Community Service Award, Rising Star Award, Leader in Customer Service Award, and Financial Achievement Award.
Laura Edwards, Bank Five Nine commercial loan operations manager, was honored with the Mark W. Mohr Mentorship Award. With a legacy of dedicated service spanning decades, Edwards has not only overcome various challenges but has also emerged as a positive and influential figure for her team. Colleagues commend her expert oversight of commercial loan operations and the exceptional training she provides to her team.
Derek Berube, Bank Five Nine Brookfield West branch manager, received the Leader in Community Service Award for his exceptional commitment to community betterment. In 2023 alone, Berube volunteered nearly 200 hours, showcasing exemplary leadership at events such as the Brookfield Village Kids Fest, Beer Gardens, and tree lighting ceremony. His contributions have not only enhanced the bank’s mission but have earned him respect and recognition within the local community.
Recognizing consistent high achievement, Danielle Peters, Bank Five Nine compliance analyst, was awarded the Rising Star Award. Despite her relatively young age, Peters has already accumulated a decade of outstanding service at Bank Five Nine. Since joining the Quality Assurance Department in 2018, she has demonstrated exceptional skills, particularly in saving the bank money and reducing risk through her role in completing the annual Fair Lending review.
Kris Barger, Bank Five Nine Mequon branch manager, was recognized with the Leader in Customer Service Award for her exceptional dedication to customer satisfaction. Barger not only exceeds traditional expectations in her role but also actively contributes to the community. Her involvement with the local Chamber and genuine approach to customer interactions have set her apart, earning her this well-deserved accolade.
Kim Berger, Bank Five Nine Deposit operations director, was this year’s recipient of the Financial Achievement Award, showcasing remarkable skill in negotiating two vendor contracts over five months in 2023. Her efforts resulted in significant savings for the bank and have played a role in enhancing the bank’s financial standing.
Bank Five Nine expresses gratitude to all employees who participated in the nomination process, contributing to the selection of these outstanding individuals. “We are fortunate to have so many great employees who strive to make lives better for our customers and coworkers each day,” said Schneider.
