SNBT Supports Area Youth Organizations
The Stephenson National Bank & Trust (SNBT) transforms a typical checking account into an opportunity to support local youth. Through the “Hometown Giving Back” initiative, SNBT is donating to youth organizations based on the dollar amount customers deposit into the Hometown Checking account. For 2023, the Hometown Giving Back Program enabled SNBT to distribute $9,329.80, equally among five local youth programs: The Greater Marinette-Menominee YMCA, Crivitz Youth, Inc., Pembine Area Christians Youth Center, the DAR Boys & Girls Club of Marinette and Menominee, and DePere Soccer Booster Club.
SNBT President & CEO Daniel J. Peterson emphasized the significance of this program, stating, “To most people, this may seem like an ordinary checking account, but for our local youth, it means continued access to a safe and enriching environment. This is our answer to helping youth programs overcome funding challenges and ensure there is ongoing support for area kids.”
Peterson further explained, “Oftentimes, people want to help, but they may not know the best way to make a difference. That’s why we came up with a unique and easy option for individuals to have a greater impact.”
The key details of the Hometown Giving Back program are as follows:
- For every dollar held in a Hometown Checking Account as of November 30, 2023, SNBT will donate 0.25% of its own funds.
- The donation from SNBT is divided equally among selected youth programs.
- SNBT will make the contribution on behalf of its customers.
- As account balances grow, so does the amount that the bank will donate.
