“Brian has been a key element in the growth of the bank’s southern markets. His dedication to his customers is very genuine,” commented Joel Dykstra, senior vice president – chief credit officer.
John Schumacher joined PWSB in 2017. Prior to that, he had been in the banking industry serving in various roles on the commercial side for ten years. Schumacher holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from UW–Milwaukee and a Masters of Business Administration, with an emphasis in finance, from Concordia University. In addition, Schumacher is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at UW–Madison.
“John excels at communication and follow-through with his clients. He’s been instrumental in helping many businesses in Ozaukee County,” remarked Dykstra.
With these promotions, Gold and Schumacher will provide expertise to the commercial banking team at PWSB with expanded roles in the areas of business development and credit administration while continuing to assist businesses with their borrowing needs. The bank’s commercial lending activity has grown significantly in recent years, and these new roles will help support that growth.
Chanel Schmidt has long been a strong steward of PWSB’s northern footprint in Ozaukee County and continues to lead by example with her motivated and personable approach to community banking. She has served on numerous community boards and has been involved heavily with the Belgium Chamber of Commerce as well as with her children at Cedar Grove-Belgium Schools.
“She is an extremely thoughtful, detailed, and consistent performer which is why our Belgium team continues to earn such high customer satisfaction ratings,” explained James Schowalter, president and chief operating officer.
Schmidt manages a team of five employees at the Belgium branch which was established in 1934 and is the institution’s second oldest branch. She has been with PWSB since 2014.
