Impact Your Industry by Joining a Committee
Consider volunteering to serve on one of WBA’s many committees and see firsthand how you can have an impact on Wisconsin’s banking industry. Committee members brainstorm ideas and legislation, meet with elected officials, plan conferences, give out scholarships and discuss industry trends. They also make many important decisions for WBA, such as future education and training programs to offer.
Volunteers are not just bank presidents, but come from a variety of areas of the bank, including personal banking, lending, sales and marketing, compliance, security, information technology, trust, human resources, accounting, insurance and more.

The banking industry has many specialists. WBA members who focus on one specific area may choose to join a Section and reap additional benefits of their membership.
Members of WBA sections have access to a free, monthly electronic newsletter which keeps them up-to-date on all the latest trends in their area of interest. They also receive special discounts on select education and training programs, as well as conferences, and are kept abreast of the latest legislative developments affecting the banking industry. Members enjoy the benefits of networking with their peers and are even presented with leadership opportunities to help grow their careers.
